Roxy’s Barkyard Policies & Terms

We know leaving your pup can be nerve-wracking, and we want to make the process as smooth and transparent as possible. These policies are here to protect you, your dog, and us — and to make sure everyone’s tails keep wagging.

🐾 Bookings & Payments

  • Meet & Greet Required: All new clients must complete a complimentary 30-minute Meet & Greet before booking daycare or boarding. This ensures a good fit and keeps everyone safe.

  • Practice Night for Boarding: For extended stays (2+ nights), a one-night paid “practice round” is required.

  • Payment: All services must be paid in full at the time of booking or drop-off unless otherwise agreed.

🐾 Refunds & Cancellations

  • Daycare/Walks: Cancellations made with at least 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled or credited toward future services. Same-day cancellations are non-refundable.

  • Boarding: Cancellations within 72 hours of the scheduled stay are non-refundable. If you cancel earlier, we’ll apply a credit toward a future stay.

  • Refunds: Refunds are at the sole discretion of Roxy’s Barkyard. We do not guarantee refunds for behavioral issues, owner preferences, or differences in pet personality.

🐾 Drop-Offs, Pickups & Hours

  • Boarding Hours: Boarding rates apply from 12:00 PM (noon) to 11:00 AM the following day.

    • Early drop-off (before noon) or late pickup (after 11:00 AM) will incur a $25 daycare fee.

  • Punctuality: Please respect pickup and drop-off windows. Frequent late pickups may result in additional charges or refusal of service.

🐾 Health & Safety

  • Vaccinations: All dogs must be up to date on core vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella). Proof is required before booking.

  • Fleas & Parasites: Dogs must arrive clean and flea-free. If fleas are detected, the dog will be separated and the owner contacted for immediate pickup.

  • Illness: Dogs showing signs of contagious illness may be refused care. Please don’t bring your pup if they are sick.

🐾 Medication & Special Needs

  • We can administer owner-provided medications if instructions are clear and in writing.

  • We are not veterinarians and cannot provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • Owners remain responsible for any adverse effects or complications from medications or special care instructions.

🐾 Behavior & Safety Rules

  • Temperament: Dogs must be non-aggressive toward people and other dogs.

  • Unsafe Behavior: Roxy’s Barkyard reserves the right to refuse service or end a stay if a dog shows aggression, extreme anxiety, or behavior that puts others at risk. No refunds will be given in these cases.

  • Belongings: While we do our best to care for toys, leashes, and other items, we are not responsible for lost or damaged belongings.

🐾 Emergencies

  • In the event of a medical emergency, we will attempt to contact you immediately. If we cannot reach you, we reserve the right to take your pet to the nearest vet.

  • All veterinary costs incurred during emergencies are the responsibility of the owner.

🐾 Liability & Owner Responsibility

By using our services, you agree that:

  • You have disclosed all relevant information about your dog’s health, behavior, and special needs.

  • You understand that dog daycare/boarding carries inherent risks (scratches, play nips, stress, illness, etc.), and Roxy’s Barkyard is not liable for these.

  • You assume full financial responsibility for any damage or injury your dog causes to people, property, or other dogs during their stay.

  • Roxy’s Barkyard is not liable for loss, injury, or death due to pre-existing conditions, undiagnosed illness, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

🐾 Final Notes

We treat every pup like family, and our goal is always a safe, happy, tail-wagging experience. These policies ensure we can provide that while protecting everyone involved. By booking with Roxy’s Barkyard, you acknowledge that you’ve read and agree to these terms.
